14 soldiers died today after a suicide car bomb attack at Kismayo University, Somalia, which is being used as a base for training government troops. Terrorist group, al-Shabab has claimed responsibility.

Photo: Kidnapped girl found in Jos

The Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crisis named Operation Safe Haven today alerted the public of a girl who was found loitering in the state capital. She gave her name as Rukayat. When interrogated, the girl who is believed to be about 12-14 years old, said she was kidnapped from a destination she can not remember in March this year.

A statement sent out by the task force media officer, Captian Ikedichi Iweha today August 22nd, said the girl has been in their custody for two days now. They are appealing to anyone who knows the girl to come forward to claim her.

Two individuals clad in masquerade costumes have been arrested by the Police in Enugu after allegedly robbing Chinonso Ezewaji.According to the report by The Punch, Police in Nsukka arrested the two men in masquerade costume in Ovoko Community, Nsukka LGA, Enugu State for allegedly beating Ezewaji and robbing him of N57,000 on the Nsukka/Oballo-Afor highway.

In Ghana Doctors union to suspend three-week strike

 Doctors in Ghana will suspend a three-week strike they called to press for better conditions of service, the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) said on Friday.

The decision will come as a relief to President John Mahama's government, which is under pressure to control spending and stick to the terms of an International Monetary Fund deal aimed at reviving economic growth and ending a fiscal crisis.

Jamyla Bolden was on Tuesday, August 18 fatally shot in her parent's home in Ferguson, St.Louis. Jamyla's devastated father, James Bolden said his daughter was in bed doing homework inside a home in the 9200 block of Ellison when she was shot around 9:30 p.m. Her mother was also shot in the leg, she has since been discharged from the hospital.

Yasutaro Koide, a 112-year-old resident of Nagoya, Japan, who recommends not smoking, drinking and avoiding stress as his secret to a long life, was on Friday August 21 officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest man. Koide was born on March 13, 1903, and worked as a tailor. He became the oldest man with the death of Sakari Momoi of Tokyo in July at age 112.

Some of you might not be able to eat after seeing this video of a girl popping a six-year-old zit on her ear. According to reports, the lump, which had been growing on the girl's ear since she was two-years-old, had been previously misidentified as a growth.

But after discovering the lump was in fact a giant ball of pus, the girl decided to nip it in the bud and squash it.

When she begins to squeeze it, the boil doesn't explode like you might expect. Instead, the nauseating footage shows the pus coiling out like a worm writhing from the earth.

    'I've never seen anything like this,' the girl's mother can be heard saying as the stream of pus begins oozing out.

By the end of the gruesome six-minute ordeal the woman says her daughter must have 'lost about four pounds.' The repulsive video has garnered over 120,000 views since being uploaded to YouTube this week. See it below after the photos.

British conman lied about having been asked to assist with rescue of Chibok girls so he could lure women into bed

49-year-old Beau Plantard pretended he was a veteran paratrooper who had once been asked to assist with the rescue of Nigerian Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in a bid to sleep with women.

Plantard who also goes by the name John Pugh, claimed he was a Special Air Service (Sas) hero and worked as Princess Diana’s bodyguard.
