The Ikeja area of Lagos state was seriously deserted, with shops locked up as people in white were seen walking around the area.
As is tradition, the people in white are holding a traditional Yoruba festival called 'Oro'.We do not know what they usually entail except a form of ritual, as the people clothed in white walk along the streets and may attack any other person found on those streets.
Hence, the festivals are announced ahead of time to prepare the residents of whatever area the festival will be holding.
